Well, not exactly what you thought.
According to The Hollywood Reporter Daniel Radcliffe (Harry Potter) is attached to star as Rockstar Games co-founder and president, Sam Houser. The film is based on the book Jacked: The Outlaw Story of Grand Theft Auto by Dave Kushner. The story follows the fight between Florida attorney Jack Thompson and his attack on media companies pushing rap and sex. Grand Theft Auto became one of his main targets when he believed that games glorified violence in the video game industry.
THR say that they don’t believe Thompson has been cast yet.
James Wood has written the script while Owen Harris (Misfits, Black Mirror) will direct. The movie will begin shooting April 20th. So really soon!
