Max will launch in Australia on March 31

Warner Bros. Discovery streaming service Max is finally coming to Australia, with a confirmed launch date on Monday March 31.

The streaming service will be home to major iconic brands including HBO, Warner Bros, Harry Potter, Cartoon Network, the DC Universe, and Discovery brands including TLC, ID and HGTV.

Max will have a range of subscription tiers including an ad-supported tier, standard and Premium with specific pricing and sign up information available closer to launch.

You will be able to access Max via the IOS and Google Play Store and will work on mobile, tablet, gaming consoles, TV and Hubbl. If you are an existing Foxtel subscriber with an IQ box, you will be able to access the Max app at no extra cost.

We can’t wait for fans across the country to experience Max.” 

Max will feature a massive line up at launch including returning seasons of The Last of Us, And Just Like That, House of the Dragon, Euphoria and Peacemaker as well as a slew of highly anticipated new shows like It : Welcome to Derry, A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms – the latest series in the Game of Thrones universe.

Included in the service are recent Warner Bros. Pictures films like Twisters, Beetlejuice Beetlejuice, Barbie as well as iconic franchises including Lord of the Rings, Harry Potter and the DC Universe. There will also be iconic franchises like Friends, The Big Bang Theory and a range of lifestyle, food and home series like 90 Day Fiance and Outback Opal Hunters.

WBD CEO and president of global streaming and games JB Perrette said the globalisation of Max is a top priority, and Australia represents one of the biggest new markets.

“Combining an unrivalled breadth of high-quality content, legendary franchises and a strong product experience, Australians can look forward to the highest-calibre streaming proposition from March 31,” Perrette said.
