Spoilers for this season of Suits.
The little USA law drama with a big fan base has always revolved around six key figures – Harvey, Mike, Louis, Rachel, Donna and Jessica. Then last midseason finale one of them packed up their office and left Pearson Spectre Litt at arguably its most vulnerable time.
It was matriarch and power player Jessica Pearson, the indisputable queen of the law firm. Within the context of the show she was tired and needed to reacquaint herself with her ethics, choosing love and Chicago over ten more years inching back to the top of the New York rat race. In reality Gina Torres was homesick for Los Angeles and asked politely if she could be written out of the Vancouver-based show. The split was amicable and Torres even stated that if Suits was a Los Angeles production she would work on it til the day she died.
Well then…
Suits is USA Network’s biggest, best and longest-running show. Spinoff gold. They’ve put the order out for some script drafts come pilot season that centre around Jessica’s new life. Gina Torres is tentatively attached and literally anybody could fill the supporting cast.
But what would the title be? Pantsuits? Suits Chicago? Suits LA? Suits Pro Bono?
