Supanova Comic Con & Gaming Returns to Melbourne with Star-Studded Line-Up

Melbourne is gearing up for a pop culture extravaganza as Supanova Comic Con & Gaming descends upon the Melbourne Showgrounds this weekend, March 29-30. Fans of film, television, comics, and gaming will have the opportunity to meet an impressive roster of celebrity guests, including stars from the DC Universe, Star Wars, The Walking Dead, and more.

Headlining the event is Tyler Hoechlin, best known for his portrayal of Superman in the CW’s Superman & Lois, alongside his on-screen adversary, Michael Cudlitz, who takes on the role of Lex Luthor. Hoechlin has also made a mark in Teen Wolf and Final Fantasy VII Rebirth, while Cudlitz is recognized for his performance as Abraham Ford in The Walking Dead.

The guest list continues with Once Were Warriors stars Temuera Morrison and Rena Owen, both of whom have also made their mark in the Star Wars franchise. They will be joined by fellow Star Wars alumni Michelle Ang and Mike Quinn. Meanwhile, The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power actor Lloyd Owen and acclaimed director Alex Proyas are also set to make appearances. However, The Office star Kate Flannery has had to cancel her attendance.

Sports fans will have their moment as former English Premier League striker Michael Owen makes a special appearance on Saturday afternoon. His visit coincides with the Melbourne leg of his national tour, An Evening With Michael Owen, which will take place separately after-hours in Supanova’s Cosplay Theatre.

Anime and comic book enthusiasts will also find plenty to enjoy, with appearances from Attack on Titan voice actors Trina Nishimura (Mikasa) and Bryce Papenbrook (Eren), as well as Scooby-Doo’s Neil Fanning and Chainsaw Man star Ryan Colt Levy. Comic book legends such as Whilce Portacio, creator of X-Men’s Bishop, Star Wars comic artist Phil Noto, and illustrators Lipwei Chang, Redcode, and Artgerm will also be in attendance.
