The Devil Wears Prada 2 Trailer

Miranda Priestly is in crisis, Andy Sachs is back at Runway, and somehow Lady Gaga and Doechii have soundtracked the whole glorious mess. The final trailer for The Devil Wears Prada 2 has arrived, and it is giving us everything we did not know we needed.

The two-minute-plus clip doesn’t just tease the sequel, it reveals a surprising amount of plot. Anne Hathaway’s Andy Sachs has returned to Runway not as an assistant, but as the magazine’s newest features editor. She’s been brought in to help Miranda navigate a very public scandal, with the stock plummeting and the press circling. “I’m going to help us through our current scandal,” Miranda explains, deadpan as ever.

Enter Simone Ashley (Bridgerton) as the new assistant to the queen of fashion herself, visibly shook that Andy once wore an entire Chanel collection to Paris Fashion Week and didn’t keep a single piece. Relatable outrage, honestly.

The returning cast is immaculate. Stanley Tucci’s Nigel is back, withholding a Terra Cotta two-piece (“you’re so pale”), while Emily Blunt’s Emily gets what might be the line of the year: “May the bridges I burn light my way.” Queen behaviour, full stop.

The newcomers also look like a lot of fun with Lucy Liu, Justin Theroux, B.J. Novak, Pauline Chalamet, and Patrick Brammall all make appearances, with Lady Gaga herself set to appear on screen in addition to supplying the soundtrack. The original song she’s co-written with Doechii titled “Runway” is the kind of propulsive, fashion-world anthem that feels custom-built for opening credits.
