Disney and Pixar have unleashed the first trailer for their upcoming animated adventure Hoppers, giving audiences a glimpse into a wild new world where humans can quite literally step into the paws of animals.
Set to hit Australian cinemas on March 5, 2026, Hoppers is an action-packed animated comedy that follows Mabel (voiced by Piper Curda), an animal lover who jumps at the chance to try groundbreaking technology that lets humans communicate with animals by hopping their consciousness into lifelike robotic animal bodies.
Directed by Daniel Chong (We Bare Bears) and produced by Nicole Paradis Grindle (Toy Story 4, Incredibles 2), Hoppers blends Pixar’s signature heart with inventive sci-fi comedy. The trailer teases a fast-paced, funny, and heartfelt ride as Mabel goes undercover in the animal kingdom, exploring strange new environments, navigating interspecies diplomacy, and uncovering mysteries hidden deep within the animal world.
“In Hoppers, the question we’re answering is: ‘What if we could understand and communicate with the animal world?’” says Chong. “Our main character, Mabel, gets to discover the animal kingdom as an animal, which can be weird and often hilarious… It’s going to be so much fun to watch in the cinema; I can’t wait for everyone to see it.”
Joining Curda in the voice cast are Bobby Moynihan and Jon Hamm, who bring extra comedic and dramatic weight to this imaginative tale.
With its unique concept and a warm, adventurous tone, Hoppers looks set to become the next Pixar favourite when it bounces into cinemas next March. Watch the trailer below.
