Red Tornado Coming To Arrow?

Hold onto your hats, folks! There’s a storm coming to Arrow that’s going to cause a whirlwind of trouble.

With the revelation of Shado’s survival in ‘The Offer’, Arrow writers have recently teased she isn’t the only one we thought the Island took from us. With Lian Yu holding many mysteries, the biggest one yet will be explaining Ivo’s upcoming appearance in Waller’s office (during flashback) with blueprints for a large robot signed T.O. Morrow. And, I quote:

‘The blueprints mean trouble with a capital T for Ollie and Akio’.

With ‘The Offer’ leaving viewers with so many questions (How did Shado survive? Who is chasing Ollie and Akio?), the re-introduction of Ivo has just created more. But in a good way, leaving viewers to simmer in anticipation. The blueprints have me wondering if T.O. Morrow works under Waller as well and if he will have a cameo in Arrow’s future.

No doubt the emphasis of ‘capital T’ means none other than the Justice League’s Red Tornado, and what better way to introduce the free-will-seeking bot than under the thumb of an evil man and a questionable woman. I can only hope that with suits hot on Ollie’s tail, if Tornado comes in soon he is either going to be introduced as the suits special weapon or Ollie’s rescuer. Either way, the goal of our red robot will reveal Waller’s, Ivo’s new boss’s, connection to the men giving chase and possibly her hand in why Shado is still alive.

There is no doubt in my mind that there is a strong connection between Shado and Ivo; the two that were spared Lian Yu’s touch of death. Whether or not Waller was the cause of this is still unknown. Perhaps Waller is somehow affiliated with Ra’s, we just don’t know. But will these resurrections be for the better of our green crusader? Only time will tell which way the wind blows.

For those whom my excitement has summersaulted over in their unawareness of the Red Tornado, here is a brief summary of who the hero is from the comics:

Red Tornado, our Crimson Whirlwind, is an android created by T.O. Morrow with the intention to bring down the Justice League. However, Red Tornado went against his programming and became a dedicated member of the Justice League instead. His body is a powerhouse with the ability to create cyclones, shoot blasts of wind and fly. The wind he creates can also act as a shield against oncoming attacks. With Ollie’s weapon of choice being an arrow, I doubt he’ll even get a scratch on him.

With the creation of all these new heroes and a spinoff series, I’m starting to wonder if Ollie is starting to question his green nature against the red hotness of Roy, Flash, and soon to be Red Tornado. Perhaps he is even green with envy.

Sinners Review

Ryan Coogler’s film "Sinners" reinvents the vampire narrative, using these creatures to symbolize assimilation. Set in the American South, it follows twin brothers Smoke and Stack as they aim to establish a juke joint. Interwoven with Delta Blues music, the film explores deep themes of cultural heritage, oppression, and exploitation, culminating in a visually stunning climax.
