Xbox released their full look at their upcoming slate of games for the next year with some truly impressive titles and in-game footage from their in-house studios and a couple of third-party developers.
Fable
The long-awaited reboot from Playground Games finally got an in-engine trailer featuring a giant Richard Ayoade while still showcasing the traditional humour we have come to expect from the series.
South of Midnight
Compulsion Games revealed the first look at their upcoming game South of Midnight. Showcasing a distinct art style with some southern folklore deeply embedded in this game’s DNA, we cannot wait to see more. Watch the gorgeous trailer below.
Star Wars : Outlaws
The first open-world Star Wars game is coming and we got our first look at some beautiful CGI footage of the characters and the world this game will allow players to explore. While it didn’t show any in-game footage, the premise and characters show an exciting adventure across the universe. Watch the trailer below.
33 Immortals
From Thunder Studios, this co-op top-down hack and slash showcased some beautiful hand drawn animation fused with layers of light. Coming in 2024, you can watch the trailer below and play it on day one with Game Pass.
Payday 3
The highly anticipated sequel is finally coming as a co-op shooter with new locations and weapons. The release date is September 21 and you can play it day one with Game Pass.
Persona 3 Reload
Atlus are bringing their Persona games to Xbox in Early 2024. The full trailer for Reload showcases some beautiful in-game footage and cinematics.
Avowed
The next big fantasy RPG is Obsidian’s Avowed. The beautiful graphics and detailed environments are reflective of Obsidian’s previous work and I cannot wait to get my hands on this one.
Sea of Thieves Update
Yes, this boat hasn’t sunk quite yet, and with a massive expansion incorporating Monkey Island it doesn’t appear to be going anywhere anytime soon. A full new island and Guybrush Threepwood into the world. The new update is free to the owners of the game and Game Pass holders.
Microsoft Flight Simulator
The next gen of Flight Simulator has been a huge hit with tie ins with Top Gun Maverick and now an added expansion will see different scenarios including search and rescue, helicopter cargo transport, air ambulance, Mountain rescue, skydive aviation, aerial construction, industrial cargo transport, remote cargo ops, VIP charter service and air racing. If that wasn’t enough, the Ornithopter from Dune will also be added to your collection.
Senu’s Saga : Hellblade II
Ninja Theory released a brand new look at their highly anticipated sequel Hellblade II. The psychological horror showcased a motion capture performance from Melina Juergen. Watch the footage below.
Like a Dragon : Infinite Wealth
The Like a Dragon series continue with its eighth instalment Infinite Wealth feature a very naked Ichiban washing up on a very crowded beach. Thanks to some well-placed sea shells, we got to see what’s next for the dragon.

A dungeon crawler with overloads of colour and action might be just what the doctor ordered. We only get a small glimpse of the world, but it is enough to be ridiculously excited for this adventure.
Cyberpunk 2077 : Phantom Liberty
A leather pants cladded Keanu Reeves graced the Xbox stage to announce the return of his character Johnny Silverhand in Cyberpunk 2077 DLC titled Phantom Liberty. While the game definitely had a rocky start, with continued updates from the dev. team, the game has finally become what it should have been on release. Phantom Liberty will introduce Idris Elba to the game on September 26th.
Cities : Skylines II
I fear for the loss of sleep in my household in October as everyone will be clamouring to get some time in with this highly anticipated sequel. A beautiful graphical overhaul and an updated management system make this one to play, you can grab it on day one on Game Pass.

A fantasy game from the makers of Persona will be sure to delight fans of the genre.

A four-player fantasy from Stoic, the studio behind the Banner Saga franchise will release next year on Game Pass and PC.
Clockwork Revolution
From developer InXile, this was first released as Project Cobalt, now revealed to be Clockwork Revolution, a first-person shooter infused with some serious steampunk vibes, This first party exclusive looks like one to watch.
