The Road to E3 2017

Can you smell it? June is upon us and that means another E3 is around the corner! Gamers everywhere are ramping up for what is known as the “Superbowl of gaming” in which we get to hear about all the great games coming and any new console announcements. Last year Sony set the internet ablaze announcing new Uncharted and The Last Of Us 2, while Microsoft announced a brand new console Xbox Scorpio. Who can forget Electronic Art’s vague display of Star Wars games for the future. Bethesda showcase new games Prey and a new Quake game.

It was a whirlwind of a conference and while Nintendo now are shying away from traditional press conferences and doing their own Treehouse event, we are extremely excited for what they are going to reveal this year with a brand new console Nintendo Switch needing some new games and remasters. Hopefully we can also see more of the soon to be released Nintendo 2DS XL and some new games for this system as well (we can dream can’t we!)

So what are we hoping for this year? See our predictions below and tune in from June 14 for all the action!

  • Microsoft will reveal full specs, pricing and release date for Project Scorpio
  • Sony will announce new PS4 console
  • Bethesda will confirm Skyrim for the Nintendo Switch release date
  • More first part Nintendo games (come on Donkey Kong and Metroid!)
  • Ubisoft will no doubt have a new Just Dance game and an equally amazing and mesmerizing presentation on it
  • New Naughty Dog IP
  • Dreams for Media Molecule release date and support for Playstation VR
  • More Playstation VR games (hopefully? please? PLEASE!)
  • Xbox Exclusive titles that will support Scorpio
  • Marvel comics titles across all platforms

What are your thoughts? Does E3 2017 excite you? Or with all the other conferences and events that we have going on now, has it just become a non-event? Leave your thoughts in the comments below.
