Infinity War: Spidey Burns His Script & A Special Set Visit

Avengers: Infinity War is a go. About a week ago Marvel dropped a shiny but ultimately redundant video showing Robert Downey Jr, Chris Pratt and Tom Holland on set as Kevin Feige gave a rousing narration. The hype train is gaining speed.

Friendly reminder: It’s over fourteen months til the movies hits theatres. Pace yourself.

Fans got even more excited at an image of Millie Bobby Brown – aka Eleven from Stranger Things – shared to the Russo Brothers’ Facebook. She’s not in costume and she’s not on set, but fans are rampantly speculating she ANOTHER piece of the puzzle that includes Avengers, Secret Avengers, Guardians of the Galaxy, SHIELD characters, newer heroes and a Hulk.

It’s also possible she is just keen to visit the set of one of the most anticipated movies of this century.

Here’s the picture:

Meanwhile the third Spiderman Tom Holland – and the only one to feature in the Marvel Cinematic Universe – has posted a video to Instagram claiming he accidentally took his script home. It feels a little forced but Holland is charming and it reminds everyone that yes, if you were wondering, Spiderman is Avengers: Infinity War.

Sony – who still retain majority rights to Spidey despite his inclusion in Disney’s shared universe – are entering Spiderman: Homecoming confident after a strong debut in Captain America: Civil War. Their own marketing for Homecoming should kick into overdrive around the time Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 2 hits the big screen. Every time Holland acknowledges the bigger universe it reminds everyone that their third Spiderman is different and people should buy tickets to his movie.

Conjecture is abound that Spiderman’s role is tiny in the film and all of Holland’s filming is done. It’s seriously unlikely. A street-level role around the same size as Captain America: Civil War is most likely before the heroes depart for their ‘more cosmic adventure’. Holland was probably flown in for the launch party and some viral content. Nobody needs to panic.

Rule number one… hand in your script ?

Alternatively a nineteen year old may have forgotten to hand in his script.

More news as we get it.

Sinners Review

Ryan Coogler’s film "Sinners" reinvents the vampire narrative, using these creatures to symbolize assimilation. Set in the American South, it follows twin brothers Smoke and Stack as they aim to establish a juke joint. Interwoven with Delta Blues music, the film explores deep themes of cultural heritage, oppression, and exploitation, culminating in a visually stunning climax.
