Couple of gems finding their way to Netflix this month.

Big Hero 6 is the best thing in kid’s movies, though Will Ferell’s Megamind has a few strong chuckles and an impressive ensemble that includes Tina Fey, Jonah Hill and Brad Pitt. Another two Harry Potter films are added and Netflix continues it’s commitment to original content with a lot of new kid’s TV.

doctor-who-season-8

As a Whovian it’s a pleasure to see Twelfth Doctor Peter Capaldi’s excellent debut season added to the roster beside the existing seven seasons and specials. Other drama includes the second season of Nashville, starring Connie Britton and Heroes’ Hayden Panetierre, and original Narcos, starring Wagner Moura as a drug kingpin hunted by the authorities.

springbreakers

The weirdest thing in movies is Spring Breakers, the film that proved to everyone Vanessa Hudgens was not in High School Musical any more. James Franco costars. Zodiac, directed by Gone Girl’s David Fincher, and Minority Report, still trying to get enough buzz for a TV series, are added. Oscar winners Forest Gump and American Beauty round out a good month on Netflix.
