Arkham Knight: Batmobile Edition CANCELLED Worldwide

We have just received notice from EB Games stating that the Batmobile Edition for the upcoming Batman Arkham Knight game on both Xbox One and PS4 has been cancelled due to quality issues and other unforeseen circumstances. This announcement comes just shy of a week out until the game launches worldwide.

See the statement below:

Regarding your order of Batman: Arkham Knight Batmobile edition.

CHRIS, unfortunately due to unforeseen circumstances that greatly compromised the quality of the Batmobile edition, this edition has now been cancelled globally by Warner and as a result we are unable to fulfil your order for this product.

As massive Bat-fans ourselves, we’re very disappointed about this outcome. However we’d never want to deliver a product to you that isn’t of the highest quality possible.

If you would like to transfer your pre-order to an EB Exclusive Special Edition we would like to offer you a discount off your pre-order, making it $87 instead of $109.95. As well as that, you’ll receive a free skin pack featuring three unique skins from DC Comics’ New 52 series.

Head into your local EB Games store at any time and our friendly staff can transfer your preorder to the Batman: Arkham Knight Special edition which contains: a copy of the game, a Steelbook, exclusive Batman skin: Batman First Appearance, Batmobile and Red Hood DLC, the Harley Quinn Challenge Maps and the Scarecrow pack (on PS4 only) for a discounted price of only $87; or we are of course happy to provide you with a full refund of your deposit.

If you have any questions please call Customer Service on 13 39 30 or email customer.service@ebgames.com.au

To be noted this is happening across all retailers that had pre-orders down for this edition and not strictly centralized at EB Games. Further salt in the wound of many fans around the world is that the secondary collections edition with the Batman statue has been sold out for some time now so those of us who only pre-ordered the Batmobile edition have been left caught out in a very frustrating place. Some of us, like myself, have had this edition pre-ordered since over a year ago and to have this cancelled 6 days before release is a real kick in the teeth. Rocksteady and Warner Bros at this stage are not offering any Season Pass as compensation to those who are affected, but EB Games are offering a discounted price on the regular and steel book edition and some extra DLC.

When we know more you can sure we will update you.

Heretic is a psychological horror film starring Hugh Grant as Mr. Reed, who entraps two Mormon missionaries, Sister Barnes and Sister Paxton, in his eerie home. The film explores themes of faith and belief, delivering unsettling twists. While it falters in depth, Grant’s performance and cinematography maintain viewer intrigue throughout.
