The neon-soaked streets of Los Angeles are calling once again. Prime Video took over the legendary Hall H today to pull back the curtain on its highly anticipated limited series, Blade Runner 2099. In front of a packed crowd of 6,500 fans, the streamer confirmed that all eight episodes of the series will premiere on November 25, 2026.
Series stars Michelle Yeoh and Hunter Schafer joined showrunner Silka Luisa and executive producers Andrew Kosove and Broderick Johnson on stage to discuss the next chapter in the iconic sci-fi franchise.
A New Vision of Los Angeles
Set fifty years after the events of Denis Villeneuve’s Blade Runner 2049, the series presents a version of Los Angeles that has been “reborn”—though, ominously, not by humanity.
The story follows Cora (played by a yet-to-be-confirmed lead), a fugitive who assumes the identity of a Blade Runner in a desperate attempt to stop running from her past. Her journey forces her into an uneasy partnership with Olwen (Michelle Yeoh), a Replicant with only days left to live. Together, they hunt a runaway whose secrets threaten to dismantle the city’s fragile social order.
An All-Star Cast and Creative Team
While Yeoh and Schafer lead the charge, the series boasts a deep roster of talent. Dimitri Abold (The Ballad of Songbirds & Snakes) and Lewis Gribben (Somewhere Boy) join as series regulars.
The recurring guest cast is equally impressive, featuring:

The series carries significant creative pedigree behind the camera as well. Silka Luisa serves as showrunner, overseeing a story that aims to honor the legacy of the original films while pushing the “cyberpunk” genre into new territory.
