The wait is almost over! Lucasfilm has just unleashed the final trailer and a stunning new poster for Star Wars: The Mandalorian and Grogu. The footage debuted to a wildly enthusiastic crowd at the annual CinemaCon gathering in Las Vegas, officially bringing the beloved Disney+ duo to the massive scale of the big screen.
With the evil Empire fallen, Imperial warlords remain scattered throughout the galaxy. As the fledgling New Republic works desperately to protect everything the Rebellion fought and bled for, they’ve enlisted the help of legendary Mandalorian bounty hunter Din Djarin (Pedro Pascal) and his incredibly powerful (and adorable) young apprentice, Grogu. The trailer promises plenty of cinematic, big-budget action as our favourite duo takes flight.
Directed by Jon Favreau, this cinematic leap promises to be a massive pop-culture event. Favreau co-wrote the script alongside Star Wars mastermind Dave Filoni and Noah Kloor. The film is produced by Favreau, Kathleen Kennedy, Dave Filoni, and Ian Bryce, with Karen Gilchrist, John Bartnicki, and Carrie Beck serving as executive producers. Oh, and to make it even more epic, the legendary Ludwig Göransson is back to compose the sweeping score.
